Duties and Responsibilities: As part of the WEG development team you will be helping to develop our global recruitment websites. To design, develop and deliver a rich set of web and internet services to support CCSG and WEG’s plans for business development; to develop the skills of, and provide mentoring to, junior developers in the team.to undertake other duties appropriate to the nature and grade of post.
Essential Skills/Knowledge:
- Development experience in one or more appropriate languages, such as PHP and or C#
- HTML, CSS, and Javascript
- Object Oriented Design experience
- Experience of SQL and RDBMS, and web interfaces to databases and business systems
- Experience of Jboss and Apache or and / or IIS
- Knowledge of Solaris or a similar Unix-like operating system
- An understanding of the HTTP/HTTPS protocol
- Experience of Agile Development Methodology
- An understanding of security issues relating to the provision of web services and facilities: Resting data encryption, encrypted data transmission, creating and maintaining secure development and hosting infrastructure, etc.
- Knowledge of architectural design methodologies and dependencies
- Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS)
